Are you Sure? 😊 Because I just received a quote from AXA... and it starts at 45,000 THB! Expensive because I must pay also French insurance taken directly from my pension! But French insurance is not recognised by Thai immigration.Bernard *****

I can confirm this from personal experience. Yearly extension of stay based on retirement non-o visa I have never needed health insurance. It was never a requirement. Not needed to apply and get the yearly extension. BUT it is needed to (re-)enter Thailand (to get the Thailand Pass).Bernard *****

Yes, understand that but when you come back to Thailand after going back to your country Thailand Pass asks for insurance. Must pay one year also to be accepted by Thailand Pass (hope Thailand Pass will disappear this year 😊)Benjamin ******
