I am very certain I went to Vientiane. I was confident I wouldn’t get denied as it was only my second time there and my fourth tourist visa stamps on my passport.
I was at Vientiane last month, I got denied cos I couldn’t show a bank statement with atleast 20k in it. I wasn’t prepared for it since all I read was they don’t ask for any proof which is so wrong. I wasn’t the only one that was called to provide bank statement though.
I had 20k cash with me at that time but they didn’t accept it as they want a bank statement which I don’t have. So I got denied and got a one month visa on the border instead.
they didn’t. As long as the guard let you in, you fall in line. My number is 98 but I got served maybe at the first 20. So it wasn’t bad at all. But I wished they had people queue up according to their number so it would be fair. But it is what it is. I’m not complaining. 🙂
I’m here now. When they open the gate and let people in, the guards will check if you’re in the numberlist. Then they let you in and wait in line. There was no calling of numbers so people just fall in line whenever they want, regardless of your queue number.
I don’t see why the need to have a queue number when they don’t actually entertain people in sequence. But it’s a first come first serve basis still.
