most airlines should know that you can extend a 30-day visa exempt in Thailand for 30 more days, so the onward travel can be AFTER the initial 30 days. The onward travel proof is also required for the 30 day extension of stay application . . not just for the airline check-in

you can use a one-way bus ticket OUT of Thailand for proof of onward travel. The point but is, not easy to find a bus journey that crosses the border! It is easier with a cheap one-way airline ticket which you can afford to throw away and apply for a 30-day extension inside Thailand instead

you must be confusing some things. A Single Entry tourist Visa gives you 60 days admitted stay and can be extended on any Immigration for 30 more days. There is no 90-Day tourist visa, or a 90-days extension fpr Tourists

a re-entry permit keeps you current "admitted to stay until" stamp alive until the date shown in the stamp or as long as the admitted until of your ED-visa

at Don Mueang Airport the re-entry desks are behind the immigration, just tell them that you need a re-entry permit and they will direct you there. At Suvarnabhumi airport the re-entry desk is in Section 2 of Departure and is before immigration. However you need to pass security screening upstairs (downstairs with VIP pass) before you reach this desk. There are no other re-entry desks at Suvarnabhumi. The one mentioned and the one at DMK are open and serving

among the line "Visa-Arten" you will find all info regarding a 1-Year Multi Entry Non-Imm- B visa available from the Frankfurt consulate . . . I do not see why it would not be possible, if you meet the requirements . . .

: we are trying to understand this, at the date of the application for an O/A visa, the embassy wants proof of insurance for "a one year stay" from the planned date of entry, so you have to plan the beginning of the validity of your insurance in accord with your planned day of entry. I am sure all embassies and consulates are aware of this and will follow suit when they issue the O/A visa. Matthew did it perfectly right: he directed the insurance to start the validity on the day of his departure out of Germany. He only lost 2 days upon entry ( I guess 1 day was lost to the fact that February is 29 days this year, and the other is the arrival day counting as day 1). I think embassies are aware of this. Best is probably you have a proof of flight and the 1-year insurance validity starts on the same day . . so there will be no problem for Immigration at the airport to stamp you in for a full year

you will most probably get the new stamp for a 1-year Extension of Stay on the same day you apply, given your documents are a duck in a row. arrive early at CW and pull your number

he has a Visa already and wants to apply for an extension of stay out of this visa. He can do this within the last 30 days of the validity of his visa. The 15 days you mentioned are the limit for making a "conversion" to a Non-Imm-O visa from either a tourist visa or an exempt visa
