somehow I disagree with your statement "it's all about the MONEY".

Lately there have been a lot of cromes that involve foreigners who wntered Thailand illegally or those who are abusing the Border bounce.

I do understand that Thailand still has corruption but please consider that Thailand is doing it's best for its people's safety, including expats living here.

There is something missing in your story.

Arrived from Sweden and given 45 days except.

I am guessinh you did a 30 day extension around February 1st week. Which will end early March.

We're already on the last week of April. Did you already do 1 border bounce last March and and extend it for 30 days for April??

If this is a Yes, you still have one more border bounce. But like what others have told you pick your border.

But to be safe, just travel by air to any SEA country (South East Asian)

better check your facts bro. Flying in is allowed 3x every 6 months. It looks like it's infinite because 1x flying in (30 days visa) + 30 days extension (30 days). So do the math 3x 6 months, BUT!!! If you do not maximize the days, Immigration will flag you and ask you to get a proper Visa, because if you will continue doing that you are not just a regular TOURIST and you're abusing the border bounce.

2x per calendar year border bounce is correct.

@Anthony *******
you are correct. 3x within 6 months you are allowed to border bounce. But on your 3rd attempt, it might raise some suspicion so the Immigration officers will probably ask you to get a proper Visa (for your next visit). To answer your question, they will allow you to do it for the 3rd time and be ready for some questioning.

based on my experience, youbhave to update you bank book Same day. So try to make a deposit or withdrwal (any amount) before updating your bank book. Then request for the Bank Statement for the Visa. It will take around 30 mins max. Usually the banknknows what you need, so you can try to explain it to them as well.

Consider this too, you really have to knlw which Bank document they are requesting from you. Of it's the one time deposit (big amount) or the monthly deposit in you Bangkok Bank.

For what I was saying, it is for the on time deposit.

@John *******
you can do it at the Bangkok Immigration building same day. There is a Bangkok bank branch there near the coffee shops. Surely they know what to do, just mention (bank statement for Visa or retirement Visa). Is this the only step you're missing?
Prinze ******
Based on my experience, the immigration asks for a specific Bank report/document that the Banks in the Immigration building knows, but outside the immigration office even downtown Bangkok, they will just give you a regular bank statement (which is somehow different from what the Immigration officer is asking you)

@Stuart ********
yup! I understand, because based on my experience with my driver's license DLT requested a residence certificate from my embassy and not the TM30. But yeah, welcome to Thailand.
