Thanks to all replies it was just a grey area which needed clarification. Flights are cheap compared to Thai Airlines and BA. direct route.

KLM. Definitely stick to their word. 2 cancelled flights in 12 months and money back into account after 10 days. ( It does say in the T&Cā€™s it takes up to 2 months but that's just to safeguard themselves)
