well good thing I did it all by the book for my ED (currently have it) I’ll impress the immigration officer with my fabulous accent and my shiny DTV visa when the time comes

Got questioned one time at immigration went well I think I can survive

wait so even if I did a legit ED visa where I actually learned something privilege visa is (or could) be not possible ever for me ? Glad they made the DTV then ahah

Don’t worry, prepare all your documents and print them, take a cheap fake ticket outside or a real bus ride outside of the country too and keep it

(Proof of money, booking of hotel cancelable if you not sure to stay, ticket outside I think it’s all)

Be nice with officers say hello thank you and smile, and you will probably not have to show anything since it’s your first time but if they ask you will have everything ready so no stress

well 500.000 is a big number especially if you have to not touch it, I think it’s at the moment you apply and renew the visa to be sure you can survive and pay the plane back

When I applied for a tourist visa a year ago I sent multiple bank account in France and it was ok

Then in KL I had a letter of recommendation from my Thai bank

So maybe both work?

I wish I had more info on the DTV but the fact it will exist is a very big step !

I was on tourist Visa in KL and I had no problem, they only ask things related to your stay in Thailand

The embassy only accepts RM no baht

Book appointment at KL and prepare all documents needed

- plane tickets in out

- proof of accommodation

- passport copy (I think?)

-bank account with over 30.000 baht on it (if you have Thai bank you can ask them to make a letter of recommendation)

I think that’s all but check the list on their website

It takes 2 days to make the visa and they do not work on weekends so if you go on Friday you will probably get the visa On Wednesday BUT if not a lot of people you can get it on Monday

There’s an hotel with a very good restaurant just in front of the Thai embassy in KL if you are like me and are afraid to be late
