VOA visa only for 30 days and no extension. I'll prefer to apply for tourist visa in Taiwan so that I can stay totally 90 days (include 30 days extension) for the first time. I want to know that if I really want to enter Thailand again for another 90 days by tourist visa(not boarder bounce), where can I apply for the tourist visa ? Thanks

So do I also need to get my retirement visa from Phuket immigration office and must keep residence in Phuket as a pre-requisite for my wife to apply trailing spouse Non-O visa on me ? My original plan is to live in Chiang Mai, never consider Phuket!

Ok, this seems to be the safest way. I'll try to ask for 90 days Non-O approval first.

Understood. So after I got my retirement visa, I need to go outside Thailand (such as Malaysia) with my wife and then apply for 90 days Non-O visa at the local Thai consulate. Is it correct ?

We are from Taiwan. I will get marriage certificate in English from government and then certified by public notary before going to Thailand. Is this can fulfill the requirement?
