If it's connected to your current passport and passport number, would a new passport then fix the issue?

No. The statement letter showing the sum was all that was requested. I had my bank book and copy, but it wasn't asked for.

I wasn't asked for proof of residency or TM30. I took my rental contract document and photocopied the TM30. The photocopy of TM30 was given back to me and nothing mentioned about the residency proof.

Is it possible that I could get my visa denied because of this or would the officer have asked me for them when applying this morning?
