the most loyal companion you will ever find is a labrador dog. They literally depend upon you for food. With most Thai westerner relationships its the same thing. If there is a finacial imbalance thats inevitable. It does not mean it wont work, it does not mean its a cynical exploitative relationship. Its just different. The only way you truly know is if you give the lady complete financial independence. If she then chooses to stay with you, then its love. I did that over 20 years ago. Still together and happy, though of course she has much more money and possessions than me because of thai land law. I am completely happy with that and she has never looked at another man in 20+ years. And yes there is a big age gap. Asian women are no more loyal than any other women, they are not submissive and they do have regard to age differences. They arent idiots, a young hard body is an overmatch for a flabby wrinkly, but they do look at things differently and loving and supporting the family and a jai dee outweighs looks. I was lucky, am lucky, I had plenty of money, its easy for me to say. If I was a on a budget and a small pension, obviously the process of finding the right person would be much more fraught and you would have to be absolutely certain. But its the same all over the world. You have to be careful who you share your life with. The is nothing inherently bad about bar girls. But a life in a bar can mean they have picked up many bad habits. Gambling being a prime example, sitting around all day playing cards for money, albeit small sums is not a good preparation for those often boring times to come when they move to another country. They easily fall into bad habits with similarly placed women and the destructive cycle begins again. You have a much better chance of a lasting relationship if they have known the discipline af the clock and sobriety in an office or retail setting.
