Anonymous participant OK that's good they told you directly that you don't need to be a resident to apply... There was a report of a non-resident successful application a while ago... But you have HKID so it doesn't matter.

Wow... I was thinking of applying in KL, but the company I have contract (I owe it, actually) is in Hong Kong... So it means I'll need to get it stamped / notarized in Chinese embassy in KL? I don't see that happening... I guess I'll have to try my luck elsewhere, maybe Laos or Cambodia.

Did they specifically asked for 3 months statements? (and to highlight which payments came from your work?) Other embassies just want to see 1 (last) statement and with 500k balance, not checking the payments too.

Sorry that was not what I experience few months ago... You worked (in Line app) insisted that I finish everything via that link (and the payment), even if I asked several times that I'd like to discuss my visas & stamps history first, but they just keep saying "please do it via link and finish everything there"... So I gave up...
