Take the extra stuff put it in your pockets, redistribute later. Or, take out stuff, tell them you will leave it, then don’t leave it… i’ve gone through this with Air ASIA before it’s easy to get around. Or you could just pack your bag and not put extra weight into it. What I don’t understand is they weigh your bag and make a big deal out of it at the counter then afterwards you walk around and nobody seems to care or you buy 20 pounds worth of duty free crap or shopping in the airport and a huge shopping bag and nobody says a word it almost makes no sense in times. I’ve worked in the airline industry 45 years and believe me it’s a crazy business and they now nickel and dime you for everything at all the carriers not just the budget ones.

They don’t say it is over a post. These people will make up stuff, report you to employers, immigration, local cops etc and try to make your life miserable. Some times it works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it backfires on them as I mentioned earlier. No idea what sets them off or why they target people. I had one target me when I was a moderator on a board. It has happened to a few people over the years including some very prominent people. It is hardly “laughable.” Cops and “brown envelopes?” Years back, the cops were the hit men and were behind a whole lot of shenanigans, for a big reason or a small reason, they were your “revenge stick” and some still are. We can continue this in better detail privately, as I will not post particulars here in public.

The worry can be real. As I stated in my previous post, over the years, there have been nut bags who have tried to report people to immigration or employers for various reasons. In some cases it caused grief and in 1-2 cases I know of, it destroyed a person’s life in Thailand and ruined their marriage. Most of the time these guys are just blowing off steam and are full of shit, other times, they really try to destroy people. Why? Who knows, there are a lot of sick people out there these days.
