@Tod ********
thank you for the information. I definitely am trying for the proper visa option. I read all your previous posts about visa exempt and worried the worst case scenario would be them denying them at the airport and making them book a plane ticket to their home country. But they don’t have any suspicious patterns or long term staying besides this one non-Ed that they actually used to study on. 🤷‍♀️ I’ll keep looking for openings at the embassy. Thanks.

unfortunately their 14 day visa exempt for Laos will expire before an available appointment at Vientiane 🫠

Grumpy consulate staff in Savannakhet. Denied several other Burmese people there. We will try for somewhere else.

thank you! They left after canceling their non-Ed extensions of stay and tried for another visa in Laos but were told no. We will look at the other options or other consulates for a visa. 🙏🏻 Very appreciative.

If the bag looks overweight, they will probably weigh it. I just returned on AirAsia today from KL and no one weighed my bags at either airport (KUL or BKK). I’m not sure how strict Don Mueng is but it’s better to weigh it before you go to be sure. I had a small duffel bag for my clothes and a backpack for my son’s clothes.

If it’s overweight, they will make you check it in and charge you for a checked bag.

They will not weigh your personal item.

Enjoy your trip to Bangkok.
