šŸ˜Ø and Iā€™m having problem with getting ā€œproper visaā€ because they ask for bank statement for proof of funds and name on bank statement must match name on passport. Mine donā€™t. Passport in maiden name. Bank statements in married name šŸ˜Ø

thatā€™s exactly what happened to us. On our third entry by air on visa exemption we were chastised by IO to ā€œnext time get a proper visaā€.

We got chastised at Don Meung on our 3rd visa exempt arrival:

November 4 1st entry arrived by air from Vietnam

December. 9 2nd entry (arrived from Laos by air)

January 29 3rd entry (arrived from Cambodia by air)

I donā€™t think we did anything wrong but got chastised & written up. We stay 10-14 days in other countries then stay in Thailand 30 days. Is this wrong to do?

Can you have your bank add your maiden name onto your existing account? Many women use their maiden name with married name on their accounts. Like a hyphenated name. I have the exact problem you have. I gave up trying to apply for the 60 day tourist visa due to my different name on bank record vs passport. I traveled on 30 day exempt, and extension. As I understand, I can do this twice if by land or unlimited if by air. But Iā€™m going to ask my bank if they can add a hyphenated maiden name to my account, or, maybe even easier, open a new account in my maiden name.
