It's bizarre! It really caught me off guard when I first arrived.

I agree in theory, but the average Western digital nomad in Thailand is so absolutely demented that they cannot help themselves but seethe with bitterness. It really is something to see. I've never seen so many unhappy people pulling others down in the comment sections of FB pages as I have in Thailand FB pages. It's wild!

Given that, I do understand why people post anonymously. I know people who just stopped posting because of the the insane people (mostly men). If you're a woman, there is a women-only Thai nomad page, and it's kind and supportive. I think it's all the men who couldn't make it back home who are so aggressive because they feel immasculated.

Please remember, as has been stated in other groups on this matter, that agents stand to lose a lot of business because of these 5-year DTV visas.

Of course they are likely to want to make it sound as difficult and challenging as possible, as making it sound daunting makes them remain a necessary part of the process.

Take what they say with a grain of salt.

Would it be safer to just take a bus back into Thailand from Laos and sacrifice that ticket? Feeling a bit stressed about it all.

Yes indeed. Does doing it together decrease our chances? Should we go through immigration separately?

She can definitely get a note from her employer, but the fact that we can’t be 100% sure it will work is stressful!

Final question, sorry for the barrage! I do indeed have a flight back home, but my girlfriend got a job in Thailand and will be starting in May. She just needs her 30 days to sort out her work visa. Do you think they will accept that as an explanation?

We just stayed in Thailand for 90 days using a tourist visa and an extension. Does this make it risky? Unfortunately our flights to Laos and back have already been booked 🙈
