. That's what I thought but the HR lady said that she called to Immigration and they told her that I have to do it in the last day of contract and can't do before. I also found it weird.

Thank you for your information Tod. I understand what you say by being my responsibility although is part of my contract the HR deal with the process because I live and work in a boarding school about 50km from the closest city. So I (and my colleagues) depend on them to deal with this situations and to travel to the closest offices (immigration and Labour).

So there is not a possibility of just leave the country and they cancel my WP later? Or cancel everything and buy the 7-day extension on the 27th of July for example?
