Good morning fellow expats,

I resign my job in the end of June and gave one month notice to my employer. So my last day of work will be on the 31st of July. My WP and visa-extension expire on the 30th of April. I have flight back to my home country on the 1st of August.

According to my employer HR (very young and inexperienced) I have to go to Labour department to cancel my WP on the 31st and later in the same day going to Immigration to cancel my visa and leave the country on the same day. As I said before I have flight on the 1st of August morning so according to that information I'll overstay in Thailand.

Also do I really need to do all that in my last day in Thailand? Can't I just let my WP with HR and they deal with it after I leave Thailand? What are my options?

I would really appreciate that someone could help me with is because unfortunately I can't really on HR because they never did it before and they are not secure about their info.
