yes, I was here during the amnesty and had planned on applying for the 1 year extension at the end of that...then they started handing out the covid 60 day stamps and it was just too convenient with a new born at home, and I've been on those ever since. I was told by immigration at some point back then that I could go from the amnesty to the 1 year extension based on marriage.
yes, I am on the 60 day extension now, effective Sept 26-Nov 25. Banked the money on Sept 23. Thought that put me in the clear to apply for a 1 year extension at the end of the 60 day extension...you saying "2 months, NOT 60 days", has me raising my eyebrows.
not to hijack the post, just wanted a quick clarification, and this may be semantics...when you say, "400k in a Thai bank account seasoned for 2 months (not 60 days)"...I've just gotten the 60 day family visit extension last week, effective from the end of amnesty on the 26th giving me a hard stamp to Nov 25th. I've always heard that it's 60 days/put the money in on or before the day you get the extension and you'll be fine.
My 60 day extension is from Sept 26-Nov 25th, I moved the money into my account on the 23rd Sept. Is this gonna give me a problem applying for a 1 year extension come November 25th because it hasn't been 2 calendar months? I thought it would be fine if the money was in there before my 60 day extension went into effect.
