Can I extend my Non-O multiple entry visa while on a one day overstay?

Hi guys.

American passport, Non-O multiple entry

My current entry is expiring today, Feb 28th. Long story short, planned to border bounce to activate a new entry today, overslept and missed the van. I know I can just go tomorrow and pay the 1 day overstay, but traveling with any overstay in my passport makes me nervous.

My question is; I'm fairly sure I've read on here that over the course of the 1 year Non-O multiple visa you are allowed to extend ONE of the entries at immigration. Is this true? If so, how long is the extension they will grant?

I think I've seen it recommended to extend the last entry so as to maximize the total time you get out of the visa..is there any reason I couldn't (or wouldn't want) extend my current (2nd) entry?

In short, I would prefer to get an extension at immigration today rather than travel to the border tomorrow with 1 day overstay in my passport, but it's my first time on this type of visa and am not sure of all the ins and outs. Thoughts/advice appreciated.

TIA guys.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an American with a Non-O multiple entry visa, missed a border bounce to activate a new entry and is concerned about a one day overstay. They seek clarification on whether they can extend their current entry at immigration instead of traveling to the border. While some comments suggest a possible 60-day extension, others note the risk of being in overstay, advising to proceed with the border bounce instead.

seeing as this is only the FIRST time you're going to bounce to get a 90 day entry stamp AND not knowing if your immigration office allows one 60 day extension per entry OR one 60 day extension per visa I'd say just bounce out and back tomorrow.

Sounds like you were going to use a visa run service anyway, so you will be okay getting to the border.

Believe me you're not the first foreigner in the history of thailand to border bounce with a one day overstay.

I would definitely start paying attention to what you're doing, AND know that you don't need to wring every single one of the 90 days you get on an entry stamp out before you bounce to the border. A few days before is fine too, so you don't run into situations like this...

No, you can only get the 1 year Extension of Stay if you are not in overstay or with leniency of the Immigration Officer.

60 days you can extend your current entry once over the life of your visa. Better to save that till the end of your visa really.

, what about at CW? Do they allow only one family extension per Non-O visa? If he asks family extension at CW isn't the extra hassle to also involve the certain family member to take the time off and spend the time at immigration office with him to get the extension. IOW, he can't do it alone?

border bounce, last day before visa it’s self expires, 90 day stamp, then before that stamp expires extend 60 days. Bang just short of 17 months out of 12 month multi entry visa. Based on marriage.
