The visa is valid for 5 years unless stated different and you comply with the requirements, so when enrolled in the soft power activity and having the 500k there should be no problem. There is a chance IO might do some checks because it is a bit uncommon situation.

What is a lie? Everything somebody else is saying? Where did you see DTV is meant for living in Thailand? What is thia embassy? A copy sometimes might work, but no guarantee, sometimes they want to see the real old passport.

When I had lost my passport I just would not take the risk. Apply for new visa, mention you lost old passport should be enough to get new.

A good travel insurance will pay for that.

It might be an e-visa, but it has the passport number on it, so you should always have the old passport.

In case of a lost passport an official document that you lost the passport might be sufficient, but I would not count on it and take the risk.

Normally a lost passport just means a lost visa.

The fact you have to go out of the country should be enough for every intelligent person to understand DTV is not meant to live in Thailand, therefore are a number of other visa.

When a country wants you to live there it would not tell to leave.

The visa requirements are you need to HAVE that money, not only to get the money only for the moment of approval.

Tricks like you did, make it now more and more difficult for others because most embassies now ask you to show you had the money for 3 or 6 months already.

The visa requirement is that you HAVE the money for as long as you visit Thailand.

The fact that you were lucky with cheating for this requirement doe not mean that will work for everybody.
