Just an update. They were looking through my passport for a couple minute but didn’t ask anything. Stamped me through two months no problem!

Robert Lagas good idea. It’s fine to cancel on that day even though the 16 is a Saturday? Thanks for the advice.

@Ellie ******
okay yes, I thought we didn’t understand each other. I don’t have a valid re-entry permit. In my original post I meant to say that in my current passport there are only non-b visa extensions and used re-entry permits. There are no valid re-entry permits and I don’t want there to be. I would like to get a 30 day on arrival visa when I re-enter the country on the 18. Sorry for the mix up. Thanks 🙂

Ellie Takei oh, I won’t have a re-entry permit. Basically, I will go to immigration and let them know I will stop working on March 19 which is the last day of my visa. I won’t apply for a re-entry permit and will leave the country on March 16 and return the 18. My Non-B should be cancelled and I should get the 30 days on arrival in this case, right? Sorry if I misunderstood. Thanks for the reply.
