hey, I see you’re still going through your application. In my opinion only, if you want to request a new contract it wouldn’t hurt, I would probably still attach the old contract just in case it’s useful for the embassy to know it’s not a new job?
since I presume asking for a new contract will have updated dates of your employment.
I suppose you could ask your employer if they’d be willing to back date the contract, but typically they would sign with the current date of signing.
I also think the embassy understands the nature of peoples job changes, so long as you can prove officially that the nature of the job has changed. If you want to ask your employer to state that in your letter you can, (with a signature, preferably stamp chopped with a company letterhead).
Maybe something like “that xx is employed at xx company has changed the nature of their role from full time in office to remote work full time from date DAY-Month-YEAR” and this will remain a permanent arrangement”
idk.. something like that
feel free to re-word, I’d just make sure to add your name, and that the employer made the approved change from x date and if you want to state that there’s no end date to that arrangement.
I also understand you want to submit all your documents right the first time, however I’m not really sure what the impact is? It’s quite common for the embassy to request more documents since the instructions are so vague and this DTV is new for people applying and the embassy.
Hi, I originally sent my employment contract but it was missing the information about "full time remote work" so the thaievisa application requested for a company letter
HR advised that I could get my boss to just write an email however when I submitted that, thaievisa came back saying it needed to be a letter with a chop stating "Full time, Remote work"
what I did was created the template and sent it to my company, they vetted the wording, put it on a company letterhead
afterwards we uploaded the letter via Docusign where my manager could put an e-signature and HR could put a stamp chop
all of those were done digitally since everyone I work with are in different locations
if you google "letter from employee on remote work full time" you'll see some samples
if you want help with writing out the letter, start with some recommendations from chatgpt on the letter format and then change it around to what makes sense for you
We applied for DTV in HK, you apply via thai e-visa, it took 7 working days. Including that time they requested for extra documents but we repiled with the extra documents immediately/on the same day.
Response wise, they would respond to our submitted documents in 3 days maximum, sometimes quicker.
