I was given my last extension yesterday in Trat. I wasnt due to renew until November but they called me to say to go in 45 days early and they would stamp me again. They added 90 days as of 10th November taking me until early February.
fingers crossed. We had a nightmare yesterday. We were told our insurance wasn't good enough and had to buy a Thai company insurance (although our insurer covered is up to 250k USD covid. Anyway. We got it and it was smooth sailing from there. Just double check that you have all your ducks in a row before going. Yip, I wish we had too, hindsight is always
I just got my STV extension yesterday. It expires on 10th November.
I was told to go back before 30th September to get my final extension, they told me that the date of the second extension would be carried over and I would get a further 90 days from 10th November.
we have cover up to 250k USD which includes covid cover. The immigration office are trying to get us to pay for another Thai insurance. Do we need to buy this or are we getting ripped off?
we actually have MORE than the cover required, the same insurance we were granted the COE and STV with. At Trat immigration they are trying to make us buy another insurance cover from a Thai company. We are struggling to explain to them that this isn't correct.
