Hi everyone, today I went to my local immigration office, Laem Ngop, to get my first 'Covid Extension', I was asked for TM30, TM7, Proof of Flight, Rental Contract (although we stay at a resort) and also the resort owners black book. Is this normal procedure? It was also stamped 'Under Consideration' and we have to go back in 2 weeks. Should I be concerned? Thanks for any information.

I should add that I originally entered Thailand on the fabulous STV and each time I go to immigration they made it extremely difficult.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The procedure described for obtaining a Covid Extension in Thailand is standard. You need to provide TM30 for address registration, TM7, proof of flight, and a rental contract. Receiving an 'Under Consideration' stamp is also a normal part of the process, and you should return on the specified date for the final extension stamp.

nope you shouldn't be concerned in the least about getting an under consideration stamp for a 60 day covid extension.

Show back up on that date on the stamp with the blue-green receipt showing you paid the 1900baht for your extension and they'll ink the rest of the covid extension into your passport

IT is totally normal

It's normal. Just come back to the same office on the date they gave you and you'll get the official extension stamp.

TM30 is the address registration, as you have a STV you should have a registerd address during the complete 9 months. To register the address it is normal that a rental agreement and the green book (Tabien Baan) from the owner is needed.

You go back on the day mentioned in the stamp to get the remaining days of the 60 days stamped in your passport, nothing to worry about.
