I have no Suggestions. I went to Ho Chi Min earlier today. Now returning to BKK same day.

I will say though. Immigration at Ho Chi Min feels like a slow dragging nightmare.

So many sooo loooong liiiiines.

Experience may vary.

I went to Vietnam. Didn't want a overstay in my passport at all.

On my way back now to BKK.

Hoping they let me back in easily XD

If your country is eligable for visa exemptions, you can get up to 75 days after October 1st. 45 days on the exemption itself, and 30 days extension at Immigration.

More than that and you'll need a visa.

There's no trains on Phuket, so you need to go to the mainland.

I used the handy check on the site and ended up here. This has the information you need a bit further down.

A extension is 77AUD based on todays exchangerate. 😛 So it is still quite a bit of savings involved.

But the total might be not too far away from eachother if you add the initial visa-cost if you go with a tourist-visa and not a visa exempt.

Totally get that.

I plan on staying mostly in Bangkok when I go back, so I just need to spend some dreadfully boring hours at the immigrations office standing in line XD

But at least I'll save the money for the visa. :P
