’ message below, you have to pay the fine and follow the procedure of officially cancelling the previous extension and this won’t stop you from getting another long term visa in future.

I guess they understand that maybe sometimes you can’t cancel the Visa so as long as you pay the fine etc.. (which you have to pay no matter what that’s just how it is, the foreigner incurs the fines/costs) then you are able to get another long term visa.

but are you saying that if that extension stamp went past it’s expiry date (for me next April) or I cancelled it later then I would still pay a fine, but that after the stamp had been cancelled or expired and fine payed, then a new long term stamp would be possible?

well I guess it’s an extension of stay from the original visa I got 4 years ago
