Understand Mate. Having your kid sick at home and being forced to be there instead of work I’m sure didn’t help. I sounded a bit high and mighty in my first comment as they caught me on a chilled day so it’s easy to say go with the flow but we all know what it’s like when everything’s not going so smoothly 😀
Did they make you get a Thai witness to sign a kind of affidavit to say you were who you were supposed to be ?
I’ve had two visits within 2 months of my non-o based on marriage. First time they were very serious and professional (can’t remember if it was while I was under consideration or not ) and the second they were way more chilled chatting about the kids BMX bikes and even sitting on them, I offered them to sit on my big bike but they declined. It was almost like they had to do it as part of a new policy and they were just going through the motions.
I’m sure you don’t need telling but to just smile and go with it leads to a happier life - instead of fighting against your host countries system.
Tod offers accurate and concise information that is second to none and free. It has been invaluable to me in getting my Evisa, leading onto my non-o spouse visa. He even put up with my less than brilliant questions during and after my public post 👏.
I’d suggest that some people are too easily upset and need to get a thicker skin (I’m sure they still benefited from the free advice before they became butt hurt )
If I ever met Todd in the ‘real world’ he could expect a night of beers on me 🍻
