I can't imagine that they actually come out and check addresses as has been mentioned but it's my 1st application for 'O' and I don't want any mistakes. For the last 10 years my visits have been visa exempt

Ah yes thanks guys you all make sense from what I can see the post was long enough without me putting every detail in. I had to supply a Google map from immigration to my Condo. I did confirm they wanted this and was told yes if I need to come see you. But I couldn't see any reason I couldn't go visit family in that time frame. So thank you all for your comments 😊

I wasn't in a rush but I made 2 visits to the immigration office in Hua Hin. They are very helpful, polite and patient. All in all I guess I have spent around 5 hours by the time I actually submit my application. I would say it is like putting together a flat pack cabinet for the 1st time. They still rely heavily on paper and photocopying. Patience is the key. The next step after I submit it seems as though it is effective from date of submission. But that's not the end of the paperwork!

I have more than 15 days that's not an issue. Do they let you choose a start date for the visa to start
