in the Agoda SHA Plus + reservations as a package should be all inclusive. That's why the rate is around 4k instead of 500 for 3 star hotel

I booked with Agoda a Test and Go package at SHAPlus + hotel. The Agoda confirmation passed muster for upload to Thai Pass application.

I had to check the "None" box on verifying hotel, then it let me proceed and upload the confirmation. Had approval in about 30 hours

The old COE process had that but this one did not. We'll see how it goes :)

I checked "other" assuming return to Thailand was for Thais. I haven't been approved yet, but it accepted my submittal.

Graeme, I recommend you join the Chiang Mai Massage Students page. You will find more rational response to your interest beyond visas. Those who said you can study on any visa were correct. As a licensed massage therapist in USA I did that in 2014 on visa exempt. For a longer stay the tourist visa and an extension would suffice for 90 days. Thai massage is powerful because it combines direct deep tissue work and Asian medicine focus on the Sen lines, aka meridians. I studied with Jack Chaiya, but there are many options.
