Step one: call the Thai Embassy closest to your location and ask them which specific Thai Embassy you are required to apply through. Ask for the specific website url.

Step two: apply through that website url and provide the specific Thai Embassy name/website url.

The Thai Embassy staff seem to be very friendly and helpful. Good luck! John

My wife and I are within weeks of applying for the DTV and we will 100% do it ourselves. Step one: identify/confirm which Thai Embassy or Consultate you'll be going through. Call them to confirm, as the requirement vary slightly between different consulates. In our case, since we are Residents of Texas (USA), we MUST go through the Thai Embassy in Washington DC. Step two: ask the Embassy staff that processes visas - all of your questions, because they are the ones that will review, approve, or deny your application, no one else. They are very friendly and helpful. With their help, it seems the process will be quite simple. Good luck! John

The ask:thailand community, consisting of multiple Q/A groups with over 100,000 members, powers this platform. It is not an official government resource. Our members actively contribute to this resource, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee its complete reliability. Assistance to travelers is provided as a community service.
