My advice is either swap to a more able branch or if they can’t service you get them to call head office for guidance.

I’m with Bangkok bank now and walked out and took my cash from local branch when on year 3 of doing it decided they didn’t know what they were doing anymore.

They have simplified it now and just just hand over passport and bank book and it’s printed off in moments where before it was less automated.

When opening an account always ask if they know how to make the visa letter.

I’ve had problems in the past also but now the bank has new system and letter is mostly automatic.

They just fill in personal details and print (100b cost).

If your money in going in and out all the time get a bank print out of transactions.

If you just open account and hold money it’s simple.

Take a thai speaker also.

I don’t think you have choice of where you apply.

I believe you get allocated the nearest office.

Where I live they opened a new office nearer to me and I asked if I could swap, they said no.

Call them and do you know other requirements for visa IE

proof of address (must be official)

Id card of landlord/lady

Photos of you and wife at address.

Map of address

Also spouse visas need to be picked up about a month after application.

Retirement visas they make in house and stamp in the day.

Spruce ones get sent to bkk.
