TLDR : Answer Summary
The post asks for experiences related to applying for a Short-term Electronic Visa (SETV) in Bali. Some comments mention strict paperwork requirements and caution regarding travel due to active volcano eruptions in the area.
The documents explain ALL the different visas available.
For a SETV I supplied my ticket into Thailand and exiting Thailand in 90 days from arrival including payment receipt, ensuring your name is in the receipt.
Hotel/ accommodation booking for my duration.
Bank statement printed online with my name and that on it from the last month showing the required amount.
Consulate is located down a small side street and is easy to miss but just look out for the Thai flag.
Gate was closed so I gave it a little shake and a very friendly man will come out and let you in.
I went with my friend in may. She did and it was fine. She didn't have paper copies of the flight ticket so he took her to a copy shop.. . He also said that it takes at least two days, but because of our flight we managed to get the visa a little faster. But maybe be aware of that.
