What should I know about the interview process for the DTV visa application in Indonesia?

Hello. Have anyone invited to Interview in Indonesia when applying for softpower DTV? I am thinking between visiting Bali or Vietnam. I'd like to visit Bali for holiday anyway but Vietnam only for visa application. But would not want to travel to Embassy in Jakarta in a case of Interview. I have more than required 500000 thb on account but haven't worked for over a year and spent 9 months visa free+extensions in Thailand month ago. So i am afraid it might be a issue.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the interview process for the DTV visa application in Indonesia. The original poster is uncertain about whether they need to attend an interview in Jakarta while considering traveling to Bali for leisure and potentially to Vietnam for the visa application. Comments suggest that while it's generally advisable to stay in the country of application until results are received, interviews in Jakarta and Vietnam are rare, and previous experiences indicate that many applicants do not face interviews.

Stay in the country where you are applying for the DTV visa. Don't leave it until you get the results.

Personally I worked hard 10 years and saved enough money. Made some investments and building my future "business" now online. I don't own expensive materialistic things. This lifestyle is not for everyone but i love it.

Anonymous participant I worked hard fifty years and am not and never was materialistic. My wealth are two part, my good health and my world travels meeting people from different countries and cultures. The difference between my life and the life of rich people is I've met real down to earth ordinary folk, not upper crust types, although I have met a sheikh in Saudi and a multi millionaire in Kensington, from Africa, wasn't impressed with his attitude towards me as I was only a messenger on behalf of the company I was working for and to be fair to him, after I impressed on him that if he had a problem with my company tell them and not verbally abuse me. He did apologise.

Interviews in Jakarta and Vietnam are rare. Your visa free extensions are not an issue, it is part of the reason for having a DTV.
