Any tips on closing my bank account and sending the money to the US? I only have a credit union, so no SWIFT/IBAN code. I can't find a transfer service that will send THB to USD.

I imagine that if you ask around you can find someone interested in transferring US dollars to Baht and you two can do simultaneous transfers to avoid the bank fees. I would have loved to do this with someone when I first moved to Thailand.

What bank you have in Thailand
@Ho***
? With my app of Kasikorn and Bangkokbank as well, there is an option to send money abroad. I used it once to the Netherlands, and the money was in my Dutch bank account after about 10 hours. Don't know if there are special things needed for sending to the US/Credit Union.

I will try that. With all the other bs you have to do to leave Iā€™m not sure Iā€™ll have time, but Iā€™ll try (super early flight that gets to the us super late, so airport services will be closed both places)

second this. Any transfer out of Thailand is difficult and expensive. Withdraw as cash, change to USD, then bring it with you is the best option. (if it's not an enormous amount)

Dee Money can do it, im not sure how much you can send in 1 transaction

Credit union do have this information. U have to call and talk to them. They have something called sister branches. Credit union are connected. U have to ask for the international codes for their head sister branch that will then be sent to u. Done this before. Unless u have some really weird credit union....but yah they told me I couldnā€™t at first either but then I went inside and found this out

I know, my Credit Union Debit and ATM cards will not work here in Thailand.

exactly! The reason why I left credit unions....they didnā€™t like international customers for sure.
