TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the acceptance of Transferwise transfers in Thailand, particularly regarding how some transfers may be categorized as 'smart transfers' or 'international transfers' based on the banking system used. Participants share experiences and insights on ensuring funds are marked correctly for long-term stays and the importance of using the right transfer codes.

And as how a bank write a transfer in your bank book has nothing to do with Thai Visa, I suggest you become member of the earlier mentioned page Transferwise Solutions. Special page for your remarks, observations and discussion if your bank decide an other way.

This is an issue with many money transfers to TH, not only with TransferWise. I only use wire transfer from my USA bank to TH and it always shows as "International Transfer". However many cannot use such a method for various reasons.

what bank do you use? Do you use the code "for Long term stay in Thailand" for reason for transfer? These are key points in getting the transfer coded properly.

I do not think this is a change. It just means that your transfers on 18 and 20th happened to go international. That screenshot looks like the Bangkok Bank mobile app, to Bangkok Bank they USUALLY go international but may go as domestic ("Smart").

If you select "funds for long stay in Thailand" AND use Bangkok Bank that should ensure that they go as international.

The "smart" transfer system is a Thai domestic system, regardless of how it's sent if it goes through this system onward to another bank it will be as domestic payment. Not all transferwise payments go this route some go direct, and in this case they are seen as international transfers in the receiving bank. What makes you think the system has been changed?

I can’t see the routing. I will ask the bank if I am next time there. Just thinking that they change because the first times I get international transfer directly twice
