TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is transferring 800,000 to a Bangkok Bank account using Revolut via SWIFT, but their Thai account is under a married name while their Euro account reflects their birth name. They seek guidance on whether a narrative is required for the transaction and how to connect the two names in the process. Community members advise that as long as the transfer is correctly labeled on the Bangkok Bank statement and the account name matches the passport name, there should be no issue. They also mention that Bangkok Bank can provide letters confirming the transfer and balance.
I have already transferred to Thai baht account. 1% fee. It'll take a few days. Then I need to transfer to Bangkok Bank. Ho0efully I can get the letters suggrsted by Sarick above. Had hoped I could insert a narrative linking the transactions
Bangkok bank can issue 3 letters. One is called a credit advice, all in English with sender name, ordering institution and address in your country, other letter will be in Thai verifying money recieved from aboard. The last letter stating your latest 800K balance.
If you plan to extend your non/o based on retirement, or changing from your 60 day tourist/ 30 day visa exempt to a non/o for future retirement extention , then yes. Your bank teller can do all 3 letters at the same time, at the same counter. Easy.
