TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, obtaining a Marriage Visa (Non-O) from the Thai Embassy in Savannaket, Laos works as efficiently as at any other location. Applicants need to demonstrate having 400,000 THB in their bank account to qualify for a multiple-entry visa. Many users have reported a smooth process, often assisted by their Thai spouse during the application, and typically receive their visa within a day.

Yes, got the 12 month Non-O last year before the financial requirements were added. As Brandon says once in your passport it works just fine. I just got my driving licence on the basis of having it.

,

i heard when doing it there,

they did not ask for any financial documents?
Patrick ********
@Derek *********
only for single entry non-o. If you want multiple entry you need to show requisite financial documents proving you have 400k THB πŸ‘πŸ»
Steve *******
@Derek *********
That changed a few months ago. 400k needed for the multiple-entry now.

Did mine there in October,no issues,my wife came with me which seemed to help as they asked her questions.We did take the original of marriage certificate tho,dropped passport off at 09:30 & picked up the following day at 14:15,pretty slick operation.

Good luck 🀞🏻.

As long as you've got bt400,000, or equivalent, in your bank account, it is pretty easy.

@Kool ******
depends if you’re after single entry or multiple entry. No proof needed for single entry 😊

It works the same as a non-O marriage visa from any other Thai embassy?
Patrick ********
@Brandon ***********
not entirely. Also Savannakhet is a consulate not an embassy. It is a walk-in, no appointment necessary. No financials needed at all for single entry.
