What are the requirements for applying for an ED visa in Vientiane or Savanaket?

I am about to apply for ED visa in Vientiane or Savanaket. I will get the paper from my school and according to it, I will be a students in a Thai school for about 8month or so.

Will they ask for a returning ticket? 

Will they ask for 20 000?

Or, is for ED visa they are more willing or less strict I should say?

I want to know about both place. Thank you very much! ❤
