TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post expresses confusion regarding specific requirements from immigration authorities to prove current residency in Vietnam. Responses emphasize the need for clear and exact evidence, such as a selfie taken in Vietnam alongside a recent purchase receipt showing the date and location. Multiple comments highlight concerns about manipulations of photo data, stressing the importance of providing exactly what is requested to avoid complications, especially given the individual's known immigration issues. Overall, the consensus is that applicants should ensure their evidence is straightforward and legitimate to comply with immigration requirements.
This person is know to immigration and was banned for 1 year entering Thailand due to miss use and over staying.
She is also dodging the question on whether she is still in Vietnam or not.

Anonymous participant 692 ohh, this is Drew's girlfriend, who plays fast and loose with the rules. I think I recall him posting a few days back about her history and whether it would affect the application.
Anonymous participant 692 certainly haven't heard a peep to the "where are you now?" questions.

Goto a shop and purchase something, then take a photo of you holding it.
This provides the evidence that you are still in the country during your application process which is what they are wanting proof of.
If you are still there not an issue! If you’ve left then you’ve got a problem.

They aren't f#kn around they want 100% specific proof, you'll need to supply exactly what they asked for, a closeup of the receipt and another obviously Vietnam shot in a location
my money is on her not being. Reading other posts from her timeline she was banned from re entering a couple of years ago for 1 year for not following the rules

It would be interesting to know where she is, because there was a case like this a week ago where exactly the same thing was requested from the guy who went back to Thailand during the application process and I suspect that when they go back to Thailand and fill out the TDAC, they log in to Thailand and this can be seen by many agencies and probably also by the consulates.
Exactly. They asked for a purchase receipt. Why are people suggesting giving them something they did not ask for. They then wonder why embassies reject or ask for further information
Give them exactly what they asked for. It is the easiest for both you and them. Good luck and wish you success with the DTV.

I reckon if your bank statement shows last activity to be in thailand then they will be suspicious of where you are. Hence since I’ve been here I’ve used Vietnam ATMS, purchased coffee and other stuff as well, which shows up on my bank statement.

They want a more current & concrete proof..this is what happens when some applicants try to go around the system..
she already has bad history as she was banned for a year not long ago.

Go to a nearby store, buy something, get a receipt with a date and time stamp and address of the store then take a selfie of yourself holding up the receipt
Take a selfie where you are and show the details like this

Anonymous participant 787 that doesn’t mean anything. anyone can manipulate the exif data ( time and geo location ) on a photo.

Anonymous participant 787 Why not just follow exactly what they asked for ie a purchase receipt. Why complicate matters? Give them what they ask for and not your interpretation of it. Like in an exam. Answer the question asked. Not the one you think they asked
it is exactly what they’ve asked for, a selfie, time stamped and geo located. To reply to 962 all the things they asked for are easily manipulated apart from passport pages but I bet even that could be.

Just send them exactly what they're asking for. This isn't something anyone here can help you with.
You'll need to prove you're still in Vietnam... They want to see any proof with a very recent date like a purchase bill or others. You're the second person posting about it here. It's now getting stricter to make sure people remain in Vietnam until approved.
that is not what they are asking and proves absolutely nothing.
First of all that information is known as EXIF data, and it can be altered with anything you like. For example it could have been originally taken 1 year ago but you could put tomorrows date and time on it if you wanted, you could have a photo of you at the Tower of London but the Geo Location says the wall of China.
EXIF, stands for Exchangeable Image File Format, is a standard for storing metadata within digital image files. This metadata includes technical information about how the image was captured, such as the camera model, lens used, date and time of the photo, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and more. It's essentially a way to embed data about the image alongside the image itself.
They are asking for a purchase receipt - read the post?????

I would go the path of least resistance for the Consular Officers. Show them exactly on the picture what they want with a receipt. Make their life easier
your welcome I hope that helps the date and time stamp will be on that photo then so they can see exactly when it was taken also click on the add location so it show the gps where it was taken it covers everything then xx
