A quick note to the group to say thanks for the advice and for answering my silly questions. My wife got her non-immigrant OA visa yesterday and I got mine this morning, 15 hours before our flight and 6 hours before we would have had to make a lot of changes to our reservations. Anyway, it was a struggle at times but we got there in the end and are on our way in 5 hours. Thanks again 🙏

Has anyone ever got your approval email on Friday midnight or weekends in Hanoi? I am just curious if I can still hope on weekends.

When filing for the TDAC is the arrival date considered Day 1 or is Day 1 the day before arrival? Example: I arrive on July 3. Is July 1 the earliest I can submit for the card?

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for DTV recently in Dubai? How long did the processing take? I submitted my application on June 5th, and the status is still "Processing Pending Document Check."

Happy to share that I received my LTR-P visa by email yesterday. It was a fairly simple process which did not need any Visa agency help. I am grateful to many in this group for providing guidance and helpful tips. Here is the timeline for my application:

April 23, 2025- Online application submitted to BOI with income and asset documents

April 28, 2025- Additional income documents requested by BOI. Had to submit the 2024 Form 1099 to support the income reported in 2024 tax return. Since I do not have any pension income, I was also asked to provide my investment portfolio which generated the passive income

April 29, 2025- Additional asset documents requested by BOI to verify liquid assets of $100K. The funds in Fidelity money market account was not acceptable

May 15, 2025- I submitted AXA insurance policy to avoid prolonged correspondences to prove that funds in Fidelity money market funds were fully liquid

May 29, 2025- Received email confirming my qualification endorsement

June 4, 2025- Received the qualification endorsement letter which was to be included with e-visa application

June 7, 2025- Applied online for e-Visa at Thai Embassy in Washington DC

June 11, 2025- Visa approval email received with e-Visa attached

## DTV Application Experience from the UK

*(Submitted from UK, visa approved in 4 days)*

Sharing my full timeline and supporting documents for anyone applying for the DTV visa from the UK. I noticed some differences compared to other people's experiences so I hope this helps.

Location: UK

Returned to UK from Bangkok: 20 April 2025

Flying back to Bangkok: 3 May 2025

Timeline:

* Submitted application: Sunday 27 April at 20:52

* Request for further documents (1st round): Tuesday, 29 April at 12:50

* Request for further documents (2nd round): Tuesday, 29 April at 17:05

* Visa approved: Thursday, 1 May at 12:01

(Approved within 4 days, including 2 rounds of additional document requests)

Documents I originally submitted:

1. Passport biodata page

2. Photo (taken within the last 3 months)

3. Proof of current UK location:

• Immigration stamp from London Gatwick

• Lloyds bank statement printed at branch (note: no stamp or signature, but says printed at branch and shows my full name and registered address)

4. Financial evidence:

• £12,000 transferred into my account on 25 April

• £2.5K salary payment on the same day

• 3 months of payslips

• P60

5. Proof I can work remotely:

• Letter from HR (wet signature and company stamp)

• Employment contract (it doesn't say I must work in the UK, but doesn't explicitly mention remote work either)

Additional documents requested on 29 April at 12:50:

* Proof of UK residence:

*• I submitted 3 months of Sky broadband bills (my gas/electric bills are addressed to “current occupier” and water only comes annually)*

* Visa proof for non-UK nationals:

*• Submitted Skilled Worker visa letter using the gov.uk share code*

* E-ticket showing name, departure date, and flight details:

*• Submitted booking confirmation from Booking.com*

* Hotel booking showing name and address:

*• My hotel booking was under my company’s name, so I submitted my current letting agreement instead*

* Payslips:

*• Re-submitted 3 months of payslips*

* UK bank statement:

*• Re-submitted 3-month bank statement showing income and address*

Further request on 29 April at 17:05:

* Boarding pass and Thai immigration exit stamp:

*• Submitted my boarding pass (BKK to London) and the Thai exit stamp page from my passport*

* E-ticket invoice or payment proof:

*• I didn’t have the e-ticket or invoice, so I submitted my payment confirmation from Booking.com and my PayPal Credit statement showing the ticket purchase, with matching reference*

Waited through Wednesday and got the approval email on *Thursday 1 May at 12:01*.

Summary:

If you're applying from the UK, be prepared for multiple rounds of document requests. Even if you've submitted certain documents already, they may ask again. Strong financial evidence, proof of UK presence, and quick response times seem to make a difference.

Let me know if you have any questions or want more details.

Hope this helps someone!

My DTV workcation was approved today after submitting on the morning of the 4th of April before the HCMC consulate opened.

Knowing there was 3 days of holidays meaning the consulate was going to be closed (the following Monday + the next Monday + Tuesday for Songkran).

I didn't expect to get my visa until maybe the 18th.

Was asked for additional documents on the 8th (payslips/statement with deposits highlighted + portfolio).

Status change to pending approval on the 9th.

Received my approval email at 6:20pm today the 16th.

Notes about my application.

I used a Wise account statement to show my funds and to show my pay from my company. I was mildly concerned with using Wise as the bank, but having read everyone else's experience with Vietnam and HCMC I felt that it was fine.

I had only moved my funds into the Wise account a few days beforehand as well. No seasoning at all. Though my statement displayed ample activity of transactions from the last six months.

My portfolio was quite long at 27 pages and to fit it under the 3mb upload limit, the images were compressed heavily. I was worried that would be a demerit in my application so I included in my cover letter for the portfolio a web link to an uncompressed version of the PDF.

Not sure whether that helped or not.

APPROVED! 🎉

DTV Soft Power Visa - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

HUGE thanks to everyone here in the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) group for all the helpful info! 🙌

TIMELINE

* Mid March - Researched DTV categories, requirements, Muay Thai schools. Chose Wildcat Muay Thai (in Chiang Mai).

* March 26: Finalized details and paid for a 6-month course. Shout out to Meaw for answering all my questions! :)

* March 27: Received the required documents from the school for the Soft Power DTV application.

* March 28: Prepared supporting documents: cover letter, bank statements, proof of accommodation, etc. Decided to wait till April for my banks to produce the most recent, March account statement.

* April 1: Submitted my application (documents + fees).

* April 3: Received a request for updated financial proof (bank statements for the last 6 months) and explanation of how I’ll support myself. Sent the additional documents the same night.

* April 8: Status updated to “Pending Approval” (visible on the portal; no email notification).

* April 16: APPROVED! Received my visa as a PDF via email.

If I had to do it again - I would submit all 6 months of bank account statements AND the most recent month right away.

And in a case you're unemployed - definitely include a COVER LETTER explaining how you're going to support yourself.

Hope this helps anyone navigating the process.

Thanks everyone!
