Hi group.Im planning to apply for multiple entry visa in UK.Can you post here your timeline please.I have seen few days ago that it took one lady 10 days but like to have some more timelines if possible.dont want to apply too early and too late of course.going on 1st of December but need Visa to end before 13th of May.So perfect approval date will be between 10-20 of November. If you guys got approval email does visa was active from that day or you get apporval on 10th and visa was valid from 8th for example ? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users shared their experiences with the timeline for obtaining a multiple entry visa to the UK, noting that approvals typically take between 2 to 10 days, depending on the completeness of documents and the processing speed of the embassy. The visa itself is valid for 6 months from the issue date, with individual entry stamps allowing for 60 days each per visit. It is advisable to check the Thai Embassy's recommendations about when to apply based on the travel date.

Go to the Thai Embassy homepage, and see when they recommend you apply.

Many places they process applications by departuredate, to the benefit of the customer.

Then the visa will come 1-2 weeks before departure.

Visa is valid from the day it's issued. The issue date is written on the visa

UK evisas are usually issued within 2-3 days if your application is in order.

A METV is valid for 6 months from the day it's issued. Each entry stamp is valid for 60 days. They are 2 completely separate things.

For the multi entry visa I believe you need to show why you need a multi entry or they will issue a single entry. So you need flight to Thailand, travel to somewhere else and a return to Thailand again. I don't think a quick border run suffices
