Anyone know how much longer after submitting requested docs it takes to get approved? I submitted requested docs Friday, yet still on pending document check… I applied at HCMC consulate

Answer summary

The processing time for visa applications at the Thai Consulate in HCMC is typically 5 working days, excluding the submission day. However, if additional documents are requested, the processing clock resets from the day the new documents are submitted. Some applicants suggested calling the consulate for more specific timelines, which can vary significantly, with some embassies taking up to 4-6 weeks. An update from one user indicated that they received their visa approval on the same day they submitted the requested information.

Reading about the actual consulates processing time on their website is a good idea...

Here's the info from the Thai Consulate in HCMC:

"Processing Time: 5 working days (NOT including the day of submission)

- If your visa application is incomplete, the processing time will reset on the day you resubmit the additional documents.

- If you submit your visa application on holidays, the first processing day will be the following working day.

- The processing time can take longer for certain cases. Applicants are advised to submit their applications at least 2 weeks before travel time."
