I am in the UK and i did my online application for a 60 day visa last Friday. As part of it i had to have a flight booked. So it's booked for next Wednesday. It is new in the uk that you have to apply online and then if they give the go ahead you can take the passport into the embassy. Does anyone know how long this first stage will take?  It is only one week now till the flight and I am still waiting for the go ahead. Thanks

Once you have submitted your application you can book your appointment immediately, even if it is still pending. There were loads of appointment slots available and I managed to get the one I wanted. I also called them up with the same concern, they said that if I can't find a suitable appointment, not to worry, just to call them back and they will arrange something.

did they issue the visa the same day you went there?

The system isn't yet working the way it's intended. It's causing confusion how they are doing it.

You go too the Embassy on the day you made the appointment with your printed Bar code slip and give them the documents and your passport you uploaded. They will then give you a day to go back and collect your passport

if you haven't made an appointment, you need to post the documents and passport.

You had an option to make the appointment but you somehow missed it. Go back into the system and see if you can schedule an appointment but I think it's too late now.

Have you printed the bar code slip?
