Why is my Muay Thai gym saying it will take 30 days to process my DTV visa application?

Applying for DTV but the Muay Thai gym are saying they need 30 days to process my application!? And not to book a flight for 40 days "just in case"! Anyone else had this?

Seems an extremely long time to wait for a piece of paper to say that I've signed up for a Muay Thai course?

Anonymous participant 737 how long does the course need tp be to qualify for the DTV? Also, do you have to re-apply for another class withon the 5 years to keep the DTV?

I applied for mine a while ago with a 6 month course. Now some people are saying have to be 9 months.

Don’t have to keep buying classes if you do a boarder run. If you extend maybe

That is a long time. I've only seen gyms and cooking schools take 1 week at most

They're saying they have to send paperwork off to Bangkok and Krabi before it can get approved. I did a lot of research beforehand and they are legit. But just so slow!

Anonymous participant Ok,another popular Gym just posted recently the paperwork for approvals has increased a lot. Maybe just best to wait it out, or cancel if you can get the money back and apply elsewhere.

Do not buy flight tickets before the visa is granted.

Maybe that the gym, is overbooked until then.
