TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 address registration is mandatory for foreigners residing in Thailand, and it must be completed within 24 hours of arrival at a location. It is essential to report your address regardless of the duration of your stay, nationality, or purpose of visit. While hotels typically handle this automatically, if you're renting, owning, or staying with a friend, you are responsible for ensuring that registration occurs. Failure to register can lead to complications with immigration.

And before this continues in another discussion about TM30 address registration, if you have any questions please ask your local Immigration Office. Good luck

No, everyone must be registered within 24 hours. If you live in a hotel they do it. If you rent or own you do it. If you live with a friend he do it.

okay the rule is she does need to report you.
The reality is IF you're not going to the immigration office where her house is located for anything it's unlikely anyone would notice if she "forgot" to report you.

It does not matter how long your stay, it does not matter what passport you have, it does not matter what the purpose is of your stay. a Foreigner needs to be registered within 24 hours after arriving at an address.
