it's not contradicting. There are 2 visa types. One is the non-O and the other is the Non-OA. They are very different. You can't just call them each other interchangeably.
it does give the option. I posted a screenshot of it already. It's the 90 day pensioner visa. That's the retirement visa non-O. Non stands for non-immigrant which is the category you find it under.

can I bring my household goods over on an OA visa? Plan on applying in the next few months.
Hi , I'll be coming over from UK in June and I'm worried because I have been reading that some times people have been refused boarding because they have a return date for longer than the 30 days visa exempt. I want to come for about 50 days. Do I need to book the flight before application or can I get the visa and then book the flight. Please can you give clear instructions for application for the visa I already know that I can get the 30 days extension for 1,900 but I'm worried that something will happen at Gatwick if I don't get the 60 day first .
That looks the same as my O-A from about 6 years ago. It doesn’t boil down to much really. The health Insurance is the main headache. Next up is finding a reasonable doctor will sign of 5. with no drama.
showed where to find it. Non-O is what it is. Brandon's posted tons of helpful stuff over a long period, as far as I've seen. "I'm only new here" should go hand in hand with a bit of humility, eh?

I don’t know why some people think the oa is complicated, there’s only two requirements I left the house for the rest you can do online

Just applied for a Non Immigrant O 3 month visa and got it approved in few days. Very simple process with tracking now compared to sending it away to Embassy and just hoping.

If you'd be prepared to deposit ฿800k into a Thai bank you could get a non-o retirement here if over 50 years old, and not have to leave each year when you extend again. Alternatively there's many a visa agent that can help for a fee.

Exact same requirements I followed over a year ago and just did a border run for year two.
Nothing different from what I can see. 👍

Did you submit all those requests as in two types of insurance ect ?
both insurance certificates are issued by the insurance company you select, so long as you choose one from the list of recommended suppliers. I’ve just redone my second OA whilst on a trip to Australia, took 7 days. One advantage of living/applying in Sydney is that you one have to show funds in an AUD account not money Thailand. But every consulate can have different interpretations of the rules.

This is the same as always.
If you are looking for 90 day non-o based on retirement, it is not considered a longstay visa.

This is the same as always .but the OX has changed .
retirement pension is only 90 day I think. I’m only new here and just seeking the right advise. But good for you finding the wrong information in 30 seconds Flash
there DEFINITELY is the option to apply for a 90-days Non-Imm-O retirement visa in the E-visa system. You need to wipe your spectacles clean and open your eyes
the Non-O retirement visa and the Extension out of it require no mandatory health insurance. If you apply for the extension out of a Non-O/A visa, you need a worthless but expensiove Thai tgia-listed private insurance as Immigration won't except your foreign insurance any more. Listen to Brandon, he gave you the BEST advice !!
I see, I was just checking as this will be the visa that my wife and I will apply for this year. Meeting the criteria is a pain but no issue for us. So hopefully all goes smoothly once the applications are in.
you don't want to extend and OA visa because of the insurance requirement every year. You would want to switch to a non-O visa if you want to stay in Thailand. But that requires you leaving and resetting your status. But a non-OA gives you 1 year every time you enter Thailand (or until the end of your insurance) until the expiration date of the visa. So right near the end of your visa you can buy another year of insurance then leave and return to Thailand and get stamped in for another year. That's 2 years from the one visa.
