Since the teacher groups on FB are flooded with crap, I'm posting this here:

I registered for the new compulsory TCT (Khurusapha) modules for non-licensed teachers back in March.

However, I haven't heard much since, except for receiving a message in the ONE Platform app saying that I must pay a fee before August 30.

How? How much? For what? Don't know. It was all in Thai btw.

Does anyone know what's going on with the TCT modules?

Anyone here in the same boat as me?

Please help!

Any tips on schools doing ED visas in Chiang Mai (that allow remote teaching)? Best price I'm getting is 70k baht here in Koh Phangan. Any remote schools that do remote teaching would be great, with price.

Is there any sort of official list of all non-formal schools and institutions in Thailand that are certified to offer ED-Visa programs? It is always said that schools would need to be approved by the Ministry of Education Thailand. Consequently, that ministry should be able to provide a respective list. However, I did not find anything on their website. Any leads? Have a great evening. Thank you.

Hopefully someone finds this helpful...

Yesterday, I popped into the Chakrit Muay Thai School (Bangkok) to enquirer about their ED course and was informed by the owner - via a friend who can speak Thai - that the course was currently not available. Apparently, the MOE had asked for the course to be 'reconstructed'; adding more lessons. As was told to me, the MOE had felt that the 2 days per week were more of a hobby, less of a course, and now the owner was submitting to them a scenario of 5 days per week. I have no idea how much of this is correct but, if I hear of anything new, I will report it back to the group.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has heard of a similar scenario with the 2 other schools based in Bangkok.

Hello everyone! I hope the following question is relevant and hasn't been answered a million times before.

Otherwise, admin please feel free to delete the post.

I've been offered a teaching job in Chiang Mai and will be going to Vientiane at the end of the month/beginning of the next, to get my Non-Immigrant Visa "B".

Of all the paperwork mentioned by the school, there is one I'm a bit confused about. They say I need a TEFL certificate, is this true?

MOE exam for foreign students studying Thai

I would like information from those who have experience with the MOE exam, in particular:

1. When is it actually held? Some say 6 months, some say 8 months - and if held at 6 months, is it held just before your second 60/90 day extension?

2. Where is the exam conducted, by who and how long does it go for?

3. Anyone know how many people pass or fail on average?

Please only comment if you know, as I would prefer to hear from those with actual experience, rather then general assumptions.

Thanks
