Should I choose a Muay Thai course or a cooking class for my DTV application in Thailand?

Deciding whether to apply for DTV under Muay Thai or a cooking class. For Muay Thai I've been in contact with Tiger Eye gym in Bangkok and they seem responsible and professional. For cooking I'm looking at Bangkok Cooking Academy, also seems legit. I'm kind of leaning more towards cooking because it's something I've always wanted to learn but the courses are a month long. What happens once you've complete the month long course? Do you have to keep signing up for month long courses? With Muay Thai I've dabbled in it before and I wouldn't mind doing it 1-2 times a week long term.

The user is leaning towards cooking but questions the requirements after completing the course and long-term commitments. If you actually want to learn to cook, then the Kasetsart University food science program is one of the best, up to the PhD level.

If you're worried about the legitimacy of the cooking school.... I visited there, and talked to the staff. They are legit. I signed up for a four week course with them and got my DTV approved in Vientiane, Laos.

There is no official news yet about the need to continue courses. If you plan to extend your 6mths at an immigration office, very likely you have to show evidence of being on a course. There are posts of DTV success with Tiger Eye and Bangkok Cooking Academy. Check the threads.

Did the gym say you can get a DTV with a course that is just coming in once or twice a week? When I looked at MT visa-ready courses they were really full on, not just a drop in occasionally type of deal.

I plan on going more than 1-2 times a week, but I'd also like to travel around Thailand a bit and check out different gyms.

Mind saying what prices you've been quoted for each?

they have one month, 3 month and 6 month options. I'm planning on going for the 3 month one. It doesn't seem like embassies are asking for any more than that. Better safe than sorry.
