TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the availability and cost of culinary schools in Thailand that offer 6-month courses, particularly relevant for those seeking a DTV visa. Blue Elephant is mentioned as a well-known but expensive option. Other institutions, like Le Cordon Bleu, also offer courses although their pricing is high (e.g., THB 1,445,000 for Thai students and THB 1,625,000 for international students). Participants express anticipation that more affordable options may emerge to cater to visa applicants. Some comments also highlight potential complications with DTV visa applications based on course lengths.

They will be expensive soon 😇

People have been refused DTV’s and told to apply for ED visa’s in some cases so I would start spending money on a 6 month course if it’s only trying to get a DTV 🤷‍♂️

@Jim *******
Do you know what they were refused on?

yeh one of the ones was a 4 month Muay Thai course and they said get an ED instead as a 4 month course doesn’t warrant having a 5 year multi entry visa. I think we’ll see that a lot tbh because people will be trying to buy short courses to get a 5 year visa. Maybe I’m wrong but we’ll see I guess

someone posted the other day saying they called the embassy in London and they were accepting 3 month courses in different areas. Goes to show that until you try you won’t know. I think I might stick with METV to start with and maybe apply next year for the DTV when things are a bit clearer.

thing is, you try and fail you're out the money with nothing to show for it.

Yep. And for each re-entry or extension immigration will ask the same … meaning 3 months course for every 6 months … a bit of a hassle to be honest … and expensive as well …

Yeh I think that’s a great idea

Do all DTV soft power courses have to show confirmation of pre booked 180 days ?

at that price might as well get an elite or start an actual company and just do random projects to make ur portfolio look big

Yeah even an ED visa through an agent works out a lot cheaper.

Blue Elephant does not even offer long term classes.

Le Cordon Bleu (Dusit Thani group) does.

Yes I'm also expecting cheap ones to now come just to accommodate visa applicants.

Only culinary ones with the likes of Blue Elephant which are not cheap. But suspect some cheaper ones will start popping up soon for visas.

Google blue elephant cooking school.

Not usually one to say it but google is probably best friend for this question
