Anyone in here who switched from retirement to DTV? Did Immigration questioned special documents after application? And what did you wrote in your motivationletter. :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experiences of individuals switching from a retirement visa to a Digital Nomad visa (DTV) in Thailand. One commenter notes that Thai Immigration typically does not ask questions during the DTV application process, which is handled via a Thai Embassy or consulate. They suggest keeping the motivation for the switch straightforward, emphasizing the need to work in Thailand, which is not permitted on a retirement visa, and the nature of their online work that does not involve Thai citizens or companies.
Immigation does NOT ask questions if you apply for a DTV, you apply using a Thai Embassy/consulate.
Motivation is simple, like I work while being in Thailand and that is not allowed on a retirement visa, I need to switch to DTV as my work is on-line with no Thai people or Thai companies involved.
