Whatsup guys I’m thinking of moving to Thailand at the end of this year wondering what my best option is for visa im nowhere near 50 for retirement I was thinking of doing an ED visa to test things out but I hear it’s hard to renew that visa after it’s done anyone have any experience with this? The elite visa is an option but I feel like there are better things I can spend the 25k on. I hear it’s hard for some people to get the elite visa after doing an ED visa.

The elite visa is your best option, especially as you are under 50 and you are not married to a Thai National.

I’ve heard of people staying in Thailand on visa runs for years on ends is that still viable

Plenty of options but look for them specifically in province you want to live in. Don't get a visa from any other province no matter what any agency says.

You can apply for a Multi Entry Visa which can give you 9 months of stay. It's a good amount of time to consider longer term options.

Not much choice for long term visas if you're under 50 and not married to a Thai national. Elite visa is your best bet.
